소 개
윤동훈은 리서치를 기반으로 근대적 사건을 현재로 불러와 동시성을 탐문한다. 개인의 서사부터 공동체 정체성을 형성하는 기억과 사건들을 수집해 재구성한다. 다양한 아카이브 자료를 수집·분석하고, 이를 오늘날의 장소성·지역성과 연결함으로써 과거의 사건이 현재의 시점에서 어떻게 재맥락화되는지를 살펴본다. 이러한 작업은 기록된 역사의 공백을 드러내는 동시에, 과거의 현재화를 통해 기념비적 서사에 가려진 층위를 드러내며 대안적 시각을 제안한다.

Yun Donghun’s practice is research-based and explores contemporaneity by bringing modern historical events into the present. He collects and reconstructs memories and events, from personal narratives to those that shape collective identity. By gathering and analyzing diverse archival materials and relating them to present-day place-specificity and regionality, he examines how past events are recontextualized from the standpoint of the present. His work reveals the gaps in recorded history and, through the actualization of the past in the present, brings to light layers obscured by monumental narratives and proposes an alternative perspective.
